We are proud to continue celebrating the businesses, people, and places that make Mississippi’s Gulf Coast such a remarkable place to live, work, and visit. From its beautiful beaches and vibrant downtown districts to its locally owned restaurants, attractions, and businesses, Coastal Mississippi is a region defined by resilience, hospitality, and community pride.

The Sun Herald launched Best of Coastal Mississippi to recognize the local businesses and organizations that help shape the character of the Coast. As the region’s trusted local news source, The Sun Herald remains committed to delivering comprehensive coverage of the issues, people, businesses, and events that impact our communities every day. Supporting and celebrating local businesses is a natural extension of that commitment.

Each year, the program continues to grow, fueled by the enthusiasm of residents who are passionate about supporting their local favorites. This year, more than 2,400 businesses, organizations, and individuals competed for top honors across 260 categories. During voting, more than 232,000 votes were cast, a 16 percent increase year over year, demonstrating the incredible support Coastal Mississippians have for the businesses and organizations that serve their communities.

Producing a contest of this size requires a dedicated local team, engaged businesses, and strong community participation. We are grateful to all of the advertisers, nominees, and voters who helped make this year’s program possible.
